LPN - Nursing
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the treatment of patients under the direct supervision of the RN. Provides a variety of direct and indirect activities related to meeting the patients needs in the emergency room and on the nursing floor.
Reports to the Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse.

3. Coordinates service when necessary and with accuracy.

1. Is present, punctual and available.
2. Utilizes financial, human and material resources efficiently.
3. Adheres to the hospital’s Code of Conduct and cooperates with the Compliance Program.
4. Understands the HIPAA Privacy Act and maintains confidentiality.
IV. TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Assesses patient response, vital signs, skin, obvious deviations from the norm and changes for patient. Recognizes changes in patient’s condition and reports appropriately to the RN. Follows the established plan of patient care; seeks guidance and direction from RN as necessary.
2. Contributes pertinent information to the RN.
3. Contributes to the establishment of therapeutic environment.
4. Observes and reports patient’s response to nursing interventions.
5. Recognizes and utilizes appropriate channels of communication.
6. Keeps current on Health Care trends.
7. Recognizes emergency and unsafe condition and takes appropriate action.
8. Performs general duties as directed.
9. Performs respiratory treatments, after training from RCP.
10. Projects a positive image of self and hospital by being warm, helpful, friendly, and smiling.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of a state approved LPN/PVN. Must be currently licensed in the State of Oklahoma as an LPN/LPTN. Should have good physical and mental health, retain emotional stability in situations of varying circumstances and exhibit flexibility for various duties. Must be able to withstand eight (8) to twelve (12) hours of physical activity, walking, bending, lifting, etc. Must have a current healthcare provider CPR certification. Additional Information Position Type : Full Time Shift : Night Hourly Wage: $20.00 - $26.48 per/hour
